The spindle does not start in spite of a valid Start signal
1
An input is connected with function Emergency Stop and is set up as "Active Low". A Low signal or an open input activates this function For unlocking this function a "Hi" level is required Disable this input or set up as "Hi active"
2
In case of being equipped with a "pulse inhibit circuit" A "Low" level or an open input activates this function To unlock apply signal level "Hi" or wire a bridge between X2.1 - X2.10 (SFU0303)
3
Start with front panel keys not possible The start button is locked and disabled Deactivate in SFU Terminal the button "Lock Start Button"
4
Examination of the temperature sensor of the spindle is activated, and …it is not connected connect the temp sense connections with the terminals of the SFU. …the connection is defective check the connections. …the spindle does not have a temperature sensor. deactivate the button "Temp Sensor" in "spindle diagram" in SFU Terminal
5
The spindle test is activated Check cable and connectors for proper pinning and short circuit Check spindle Increase value "Start voltage" in SFU Terminal in spindle diagram
6
The spindle test is activated in project file and cable or spindle are OK Prior starting a test voltage is applied to the spindle phase prongs which generates a test current. In case that the resistances of the cable or in the spindle are too high, the generated current is lower than the threshold value in the converter The spindle cable is too long.
